February 25 – ICEBREAKER OPEN
It’s cold out there – frozen hands, frozen greens, frozen balls! This is a pick your own two-person team scramble event. This tournament is open to everyone.

March 17 – WIN GREEN ON THE GREEN: ST. PADDY’S DAY LUCKY HOLE TOURNAMENT - SSGC & SSGA joint event
Pick any hole on the green to putt to. It does not matter where the pin is located; St. Paddy says you can pick any hole. Corned beef & cabbage will be served after play. This tournament is open to everyone.

April 7 & 8 – MASTERS 2-DAY PICK-A-PRO TOURNAMENT
All participants will be randomly paired with a PGA pro who has made the cut at the first major of the year, the Masters. Each participant will add – or subtract – the PGA pro’s score from their own personal score to determine a team score. This tournament is open to everyone.

April 21 – OLD CHICAGO - SSGA members only
A chicago golf tournament is a golf game whose format is based on golfers beginning their rounds with negative points, based on handicaps, and then add positive points during the round. The idea is to get from negative to positive (clear your hurdle) by as much as possible. Read the full description in the SSGA Tournament Schedule above.

May 12 – 1-2-3 TOURNAMENT (a 3-Format, 2-Person Tournament)
Two-person teams will play 18 holes with a rotating six-hole format to be determined prior to the start of play. Six holes will be played as a best ball; six holes will be played as a select shot; six holes will be played as an alternate shot. This tournament is open to everyone.

May 26 – CRIERS AND WHINERS - SSGA members only
A game of do-overs, or mulligans, that can be used from any point on the golf course. Handicaps are converted into free shots that are used during the round. Details in the SSGA Tournament Schedule above.

June 9 – CRAZY 8s
A four-person scramble like you have never seen before. Don’t miss out on this crazy event. Two four-person teams tee off at the same time. This tournament is open to everyone.

June 30 – CHOO-CHOO TRAIN - SSGA members only
This golf game awards points for positive accomplihments, but can wipe those points away if something bad happens. Details in the SSGA Tournament Schedule above.

July 7 – RED, WHITE & BLUE TOURNAMENT
Play is from the white tees.  Make a birdie and move back to the blue tees; make par and play from the white tees; make a bogey and move to the reds. This  tournament is open to everyone.

July 21 – MODIFIED STABLEFORD - SSGA members only
This competition awards golfers points bsed on their performance on each hole, with the highest point total winning – but with a different set of points than what is described in the Rules of Golf rulebook. Details in the SSGA Tournament Schedule above.

August 4 – PAR 3 TOURNAMENT
Every hole is set up as a par 3. This tournament is open to everyone.

August 11 – THREE LITTLE PIGS - SSGA members only
This format allows golfers to get rid of their three worst scores from the round. Details in the SSGA Tournament Schedule above.

August 17 – ROCKY MOUNTAIN MILITARY INVITATIONAL
This is a three-day team and individual event that will be held at Fort Carson, Peterson AFB and the U.S. Air Force Academy August 16-18. This event is an invitational.

August 25 & 26 – SILVER SPRUCE CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP
Claim your spot as the 2012 Silver Spruce Club Champion. This will be an individual, flighted, 36-hole contest to determine the top dog in each flight. Flight breakdown will be determined by the number of participants. Mark the date on your calendar and be sure to sharpen your skills. This tournament is open to everyone.

September 22 – NIGHT GOLF TOURNAMENT
Break out all of the glowing or brightest golf balls you can find and join us for a night of fun. Remember to bring your flashlight. This tournament is open to everyone.

September 29 & 30 – SSGA GOLF CLASSIC - SSGA members only
The finale to our extraordinary golf season! A 36-hole contest that is open to Silver Spruce Golf Association members ONLY. Details in the SSGA Tournament Schedule above.
